Coach Ken started playing lacrosse in 1981 as freshmen at the Illinois powerhouse New Trier High School in Winnetka Illinois. In college Coach Ken was a 4 year starter and captain of the Illinois State University Lacrosse Team. Because the team was new Coach Ken used this opportunity to begin his career in coaching by teaching his fellow teammates.
After college he continued to play for the highly competitive post collegiate team Lincoln Park from 1990 until moving to Indiana in 2009. While in Illinois he coached Varsity and JV players at Glenbrook North & Highland Park High Schools. In 1999 & 2000 he was selected to coach Team Illinois Varsity, which had winning tournament records at the Vail Colorado tournament. Ken’s biggest accomplishment was to be one of a handful of dedicated coaches and lacrosse enthusiasts that grew Illinois lacrosse from just 7 high school teams to a state sanctioned sport with over 8,000 male and female athletes playing at all levels from 1st grade thru adult.
From 1992 until 2008 Coach Ken was the GM of Lacrosse America, one of the largest and most successful lacrosse programs that ran instructional and competitive programs in Illinois. Athletes coached by Ken have gone on to play professionally and at colleges such as Syracuse, Duke, Denver, Ohio State, Yale, Cornell, Harvard, Army, Loyola, North Carolina, Ohio Wesleyan, Georgetown, Notre Dame and many other established lacrosse programs. Even the 2006 Indiana High School coach of the year was coached by the Hoosier Lacrosse director.
In 2007 Coach Ken moved to Indiana and quickly got involved in the local lacrosse scene and in 2008 he founded Hoosier Lacrosse. Coach Ken is dedicated to help grow the sport in Indiana and is excited by the enthusiasm of the players and their parents. He lives in Westfield with his 2 children Brook and Zachary.

Alex found lacrosse in 6 th grade after one of his friends convinced him that it was more fun than baseball. After his first practice, Alex was hooked and never looked back. Alex would go on to be an All-state player and 3x time team captain for his East Lansing High School Trojans. The exposure he obtained through playing lacrosse for the Champion Lacrosse and Team Total summer teams earned him a scholarship to play at NCAA Division II Florida Institute of Technology. Alex started on attack as a Freshman before moving to midfield for his Sophomore and Junior seasons. Due to an injury sustained at the end of his Junior season Alex was unable to play during his Senior season, yet remained with the team to assist the coaches. During his senior year, Alex helped his coaches by writing scouting reports for upcoming opponents, assisting with carrying out the practice plan, and running the substitution box during games. Following his senior season, Alex graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida Tech with a B.S. Degree in Psychology and is now a Special Education teacher on the south side of Indianapolis while working towards his Master’s degree at Marian University. Alex is thrilled to bring his passion for the game to Hoosier Lacrosse!

Rob grew up in Mountain Lakes New Jersey, a small town hotbed of lacrosse, where the sport’s popularity is unrivaled even by a successful football program. He was a 4 sport varsity athlete but always loved lacrosse most. Coached by Tim Flynn (Head Coach of the 2012 U19 American Team – World Champions), Rob forever learned the fundamentals of lacrosse and multi-sport defensive principles.
Rob developed into a two-year letter winner and one-year starter at Mountain Lakes, playing long stick defense. Deciding to pursue an undergraduate business degree, Rob came to Indiana University. At IU, Rob moved to the Short Stick Midfield position and earned a starting role his freshman year as the team’s face-off specialist.
Lacrosse is a game where kids of diverse talent, ability, speed, & size can compete and even excel. As America is the “Land of Opportunity”, Lacrosse is the “Sport of Opportunity”. I want to help our players recognize this potential and exceed their ambitions.

Brett first found lacrosse in a gym class in 8th grade. Drawing on his years of hockey, Brett noticed lacrosse quickly fell into place as a sport for him. Brett was a member of Park Tudor’s first and only state championship team. He was afforded the opportunity to be a part of Team Indiana and represent the state at the Notre Dame Classic that brought all star teams from all over the Midwest together. He looks forward to continuing to coach at his alma mater and hopefully help bring another title to the school. Following high school Brett continued his playing career with Indiana University were over his four years the team steadily climbed the rankings and for a young program they built respect in the tight knit community. After college he kept his love going with playing in various clubs around Indianapolis. He began his coaching career at North Central where he worked closely with the student athletes to achieve their goals. Finally, his alma mater had a coaching position open and he jumped at the chance to get back to his roots and join a very impressive coaching staff. The staff he joined has a fantastic outlook and strategy for helping to produce quality young men on and off the field. Brett is very excited to join Hoosier and looks forward to sharing his joy and knowledge of the game.
